LA Instagram influencers to follow for lifestyle inspiration, from The Blonde Salad to Julie Sariñana

he days of moving to LA to become a Hollywood sensation could be on the wane – young people now flock to Los Angeles to become this generation’s next big Instagram influencer.

Known for its cool social scene and Instagrammable views, LA is the city to photograph if you want to boost your likes, and anyone who aims to make a living from social media knows this.

Millennials like Allysa Lynch and Pamela Allier have capitalized on the city’s cool and built a business and lifestyle on their Instagram accounts.

They aren’t the only ones – here’s who else is making it big in LA without stepping into a film studio, and who to follow for enviable lifestyle inspiration.

Helen Owen

Helen Owen was actually born in England and didn’t make it over to LA until after high school when she attended UCLA for college.

She studied design, but then started to model.

Owen is more of a travel-blogger than anything else, globe-trotting with her ex-Bachelorette contestant boyfriend, Zack Kalter, and posting all her adventures on Instagram and her blog, Helen Owen.

That’s not to say Owen isn’t part of the LA community – she spends a lot of her time at home in West Hollywood, showing off her spotless abode and teaching her 1.5 million followers how to make homemade cashew milk. (@helenowen)

Alyssa Lynch

Hailing from Canada, Alyssa Lynch came to LA and won a few small TV and film roles, but her Instagram account soon caught traction and became her full-time gig.

Whether she’s posting her latest LA coffee shop find or her newest vegan cookie obsession, she’s making the most of the Instagram-friendly Los Angeles food scene.

When she’s not eating her way through LA’s vegan hotspots, she’s working up a sweat at Hot 8 Yoga or Barry’s Bootcamp(@alyssalynch)

Julie Sariñana

The Sincerely Jules blogger has clocked up over five million Instagram followers for her lifestyle and fashion blog.

Eventually she realized her passion for the environment and sustainability was most important and started shedding light on those topics via beautiful pictures of nature on her Instagram and promotion of environmentally friendly ideas. She now has over 160k followers on Instagram. (@jennyong)
